1. Who we are

Glazing Solutions UK is a trading name of S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16932889, registered office Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. When you accept a quote, your contract is with S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd.

2. Guide prices and quotes

Prices on this website, including the guide price tool, are guides for typical jobs and include VAT at the standard rate. They are not offers. A glazier measures before anything is ordered, and your written quote fixes the price for the specification it shows. If you ask for extra or different work, we agree the change and any price difference with you in writing before doing it.

3. Surveys

Surveys and quotes for new glazing are free and there is no obligation to go ahead. If a visit is needed only to diagnose or repair a fault, we tell you before booking whether a call-out charge applies.

4. Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer and agree the contract away from our premises or at a distance (for example at your home, by phone or online), the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the following rights. The cancellation information and a model cancellation form are provided with your written quote.

• Work only (no goods supplied): such as repairs and adjustments. You can cancel within 14 days of the day the contract is made. If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done up to that point.
• Goods made to your measurements or specification: sealed units, cut glass, windows, doors, screens and other made-to-measure items. Under regulation 28(1)(b) of those Regulations, the statutory right to cancel does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. As a goodwill policy, you can still cancel without charge until we place the order for made-to-measure items; after that we may charge for costs we cannot recover.
• Standard goods supplied and fitted: where an item is not made to your specification, you can cancel within 14 days of the day the goods are delivered or fitted.

To cancel, tell us clearly by email to info@glazingsolutionsuk.co.uk, by phone on 0800 088 6248 or by post to the registered office above. You can use the model cancellation form, but you do not have to. We refund any money due within 14 days of your cancellation.

5. Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit, are set out on your written quote. We will not ask for payment for work that has not been agreed in writing.

6. Guarantees and your statutory rights

Guarantee terms for your job are set out in writing with your quote. They are in addition to your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

7. Access and site conditions

Please make sure we can reach the window, door or opening on the agreed day, and tell us about anything that could affect the work, such as limited access, alarms, pets or asbestos. If access needs scaffolding, a tower or a road permit, the quote will say so.

8. Building regulations and planning

We explain on your quote whether the work needs building control notification and how it will be handled. Planning permission, listed building consent and landlord or freeholder permission remain the property owner's responsibility unless your quote says otherwise.

9. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.

10. Business customers

If you are a business, the cancellation rights in section 4 do not apply. The terms on our written quote apply to the work; they take priority over any terms on your purchase order unless we agree otherwise in writing.

11. This website

We try to keep information on this website accurate and up to date, but regulations and products change, so please rely on your written quote for the details of your job. Guides are general information, not professional advice for your property.

12. Complaints

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live.
